How soon I get my first USDOT audit, after activating my USDOT registration
Typically within the following 6 months after applying for USDOT registration, a safety review will be scheduled. Please note that attending the audit is mandatory, failure to respond will place your company in a federal out of service order.
When do I need to apply for a USDOT registration?
When do I need to apply for IRP account and IFTA account
If you operate outside your base state, you are required to have apportioned plates for all states and an International fuel tax agreement (IFTA ) account to purchase fuel outside your base state, please note, some states required Weight distance permits to cross their borders.
How often do I need to report IFTA fuel taxes
Fuel taxes and weight distance miles are reported quarterly with a deadline on the last day of the month preceding the last month of the quarter, Example, first quarter JAN, FEB, MARCh. Due date to file April 30th. Please note some weight distance states require monthly or yearly reporting.

Do I have to enroll all my drivers in the controlled FMCSA substance program?
Only drivers operating vehicles with a GVWR of 26,001 lbs and up are required to be enrolled in the FMCSA controlled substances program.
